With a body of solid sapele wood and a laminated birch soundboard, the sound is balanced across all octaves in volume and tone. The body is of a 'hybrid" design with staves at the top, providing comfortable space near the player's shoulder. The legs and base detach easily to stow in the compact case. All of these details make it a perfect instrument for the serious student as well as the traveling professional.
